Early this morning Tumbleweed snapshot 20221222 came out with Kernel 6.1.0 and GCC 13. This is notable, to me, for two reasons, 1) it’s the first Linux Kernel using the Rust programming language (among the other languages it uses) and 2) I can’t remember the last time I saw the very first version of a Kernel series go into Tumbleweed – 6.1.0-1. I may have missed the previous ones, as I don’t update every day, but generally I see a -2 or -3 as the first of a series.

As far as I can tell, everything seems to be running fine, as usual, for me.

Note: the snapshot link above actually points to 20221221, because they show diffs from the current snapshot. The current snapshot has no diff, so it shows blank.
